FAQ

Q: Is it good agaisnt insulation ?

A: These work pretty well against insulation. I would suggest of course gloves but also the boot covers and then you should be good. We actually used for renovation of a molded bathroom which had the old insulation and I think the only mishap we had is that everything was not taken off together so there was some slight transfer but nothing like wearing just regular clothes and trying to do the job. Suggestion on glasses seeing eyes and insulation are not a good combo!!

Q:Can this suit be used to help protect someone whole they are removing black mold?

A: If you want to be safe as possible, I would buy a suit with integrated gloves. With this suit, you would need to tape/seal your gloves to the sleeves. You should also buy a respirator & safety goggles that seal around your face. The suit is thin ad the booties rip easily (this is an inexpensive suit…) I would but more than one just in case.

In my humble opinion if you have had black mold positively identified I would not try to mitigate it myself. This can be deadly. You should use respirators and other hazmat type goodies when dealing with that. I used mine while dealing with other types of mold and used a number of different HEPA masks. Don’t mess with black mold – it will haunt you forever.
